Sempervivum ‘lively bug’ – choice named variety
Sempervivums, or houseleeks, are hardy, succulent, alpine plants. In their native habitat they grow between rocks in mountainous regions. Sempervivum means ‘always alive’ – a reference to the fact that houseleeks tolerate extreme temperatures and drought.
They look great in rockeries, Alpine gravel beds, pots and troughs. Likes full sun, well drained soil. Some Sempervivums change colour depending on winter and summer temperatures.
