Frangula alnus Fine Line (Unusual Variety with fine leaves)

Handsome deciduous shrub, it grows narrow and is perfect for smaller gardens. It has fern like leaves of mid-green, turning yellow in Autumn, compact shape. In late spring and early summer, clusters of small, green flowers followed by spherical, fleshy, red fruit ripening black. Fine Line adds a great deal of texture to the garden because it leafs from the bottom of the trunk all the way to the tip, and for this reason it makes an excellent screen – either against a fence or to separate areas of the garden without wasting space. Looks good in a pot too. Likes part shade to sun, well-drained soil. Grown in a 2 Ltr pot, present height about 2 feet high.
