A great perennial for colour from August to September, this modern form of Montbretia is clump forming and will not spread all over the garden like the old type ! Free-flowering with sword-like foliage and vibrant sprays of star-like, upward-facing deep scarlet flowers. Its a shorter variety than some, around (2ft) and will look great in the garden border. Sun or part shade. (More flower stems though, if planted in a sunny spot). Well drained soil. Grown in a 2 ltr pot size.
