Matteuccia struthiopteris – Ostrich Fern/Shuttlecock Fern

Wonderful fern, nick named the Ostrich or Shuttlecock fern,  If you look down from the top in the heart of the fern it looks like a shuttlecock ! In spring the new fronds are bright pale green and go darker as the season progresses. Looks great in groups! Ideal under trees and next to Hostas.

It is one of the best foliage plants for moist borders in dappled shade to part shade, looks also great in a woodland garden or near water. Remove dead fronds in early spring. Grown in 1 Ltr pot size.
