Heucherella Buttered Rum – Recent Introduction.
Heucherella is a fairly new genus by crossing Heuchera (coral bell) and Tiarella (foamflower). The combination has resulted in fantastic variations of coloured foliage varieties . This variety is more compact than Sweet Tea and Brass Lanterns. (Similar in colour) Like many other Heucherella, ‘Buttered Rum’ does well in sun or shade. ‘Buttered Rum’ parades a rich tapestry of caramel and rusty orange leaves in spring and summer and then with the onset of cool weather, they transform to a lovely rose-red. Likes normal to moist soil. Ideal at front of borders and edging along paths. Looks great with other Heucherellas and Heucheras and in pots. Any area, light shade, sun or part shade.
