Product Details

Plant Description

This hybrid foxglove is one of the best. The stunning flowers are a rich plum with a speckled gold throat. Flowering side shoots will form after the main flower spike has finished, giving colour for a long period of time.

Grows to a height of 60cm, so great for smaller beds. It is also perennial and will flower each year. (Flowering much longer than some of the biennial varieties)

Where to Plant

Sun or partial shade. Likes moist soil. (As with all foxgloves toxic if eaten). Great for a mixed or perennial border. Perfect for a cottage gardens, woodlands, part shady spots. For a greater impact of colour, suggest 3 to 5 plants.

Plant Care

After flowering cut back the flowered spikes to encourage more sideshoots. In colder areas a heavy mulch 3 - 4 inches depth around the plant to protect the roots from the cold is advised. Alternatively, grow it in a pot and over-winter it in a cool greenhouse.
